R13 recruitment are currently assisting an international organisation in their search for an Insurance Broker to join their team in Central Norwich. Within this role you will be working as part of a wider team, often internationally, to place niche insurance risks as part of the client’s wider policy.

If you are looking for the opportunity to work with internationally renowned clients; thrive working under pressure and managing an extremely busy workload; and have a capacity for reviewing information and interpreting detail, then this would be for you.

You will have exposure in a commercial (B2B) insurance environment. You may be working as an underwriter, client executive, account executive, account manager, broker, or equivalent.

Any exposure / interest in D&O, PEMA or Cyber would be beneficial, but not essential.

Your duties will include:

  • Using expert knowledge to develop and implement placement solutions that meet the client requirements.
  • Analysing and evaluating client’ insurance program and finding areas of improvement.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to clients at all times.
  • Comparing submission of coverage specifications and obtaining quotes from carriers in order to support negotiations.
  • Supporting client retention and new business generation with the preparation of proposals.
  • Taking responsibility for the accuracy of placement binders.
  • Taking a lead on placement/technical support activities for various clients.
  • Advising management on client’s issues or trends.
  • Developing and maintaining an in depth understanding of the insurance and risk management market and responding to any changes.

You will have/be:

  • Previous experience in commercial insurance is essential.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry and risk management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritise and optimise your workload.
  • The ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities with an organised approach.
  • Committed to accuracy and excellent delivery of all tasks – no matter how big or small.
  • Driven to achieve results and exceed expectations.
  • Computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office suite.
