R13 are working alongside a well renowned, global organisation in their search for an experienced sales professional to join their team as a Sales & Proposals Engineer. Joining a dynamic team, your primary focus will be on the execution of technical sales as well as finding new markets and applications for the extensive range of products in order to increase sales activity.

This is the perfect chance for an individual with a technical background wanting to progress in their sales career, to join a rapidly developing company of industry experts.

Your duties will include:

  • Utilising technical knowledge in order to prepare quotations, generate leads and follow up on all sales enquiries.
  • Gain a complete understanding of the process involved in marketing the range of products the company offers; including OEM’s, end-users, and resellers.
  • Conducting technical sales visits with relevant third parties.
  • Researching, identifying and penetrating new business markets. 
  • Actively engage with company agents to develop new sales opportunities that will positively effect company growth and extend the company’s brand.
  • Maintaining the company’s CRM database and update it in relation to quotations, customer contact and visits.
  • Fulfilling orders and co-ordinate post order responses to customers with internal providers.
  • Prioritising your time effectively to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Occasional international travel.

You will have/be:

  • A degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with relevant practical experience.
  • Proven experience working within a technical sales environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to influence and persuade.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Comfortable working to and meeting deadlines.
  • Driven to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Happy to undertake occasional overseas travel.

This is a full-time, permanent position, based in Norwich. The working hours for this position are 9am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. The salary offered is competitive depending on experience plus an attractive commission package, comprehensive benefits package and free on-site parking.
