An exciting opportunity has arisen within a fantastic, well known insurance brokerage as a Team Leader. You will play an integral role within the business, leading a personal lines team ensuring that excellent customer service is delivered at all times whilst providing client support yourself.   

This is a great chance for someone looking to take on a leadership role whilst growing and developing their career within the insurance industry. You will ideally have previous insurance experience and have achieved or are working towards your CII qualification.

Duties to include:

  • Ensuring all personal lines team members are providing outstanding levels of customer service at all times.
  • Providing feedback on performance to team members.
  • Ensuring the team have the skills and ability to deliver on business goals.
  • Responding to enquiries from clients, potential clients & insurers via phone, email, letter or in-person.
  • Addressing any customer queries or concerns that arise throughout sales or renewals calls.
  • Providing outstanding levels of customer service at all times.
  • Making outbound calls to arrange insurance policy renewals for existing customers.
  • Deciding appropriate quotes based on applicant’s requirements.
  • Issuing accurate documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate records of clients circumstances and objectives.
  • Adhere to all compliance and quality standards including FCA Regulations and GDPR.
  • Chasing and receiving payments via various means.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external customers to deliver the right outcomes for customers and maintain a positive working relationship.

You will have/be:

  • Proven experience in an insurance environment.
  • Experience leading and coaching a team.
  • Working knowledge of insurance policies, principles and practices.
  • Awareness of FCA Compliance Procedures, Data Protection & other financial crime regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive attitude, with the ability to use initiative
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and assimilate large quantities of information quickly, while maintaining attention to detail

Desirable but not essential:

  • Proven experience of the Open GI System.
  • CII Qualified (or working towards) would be desirable.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity based in Ipswich. The salary on offer is up to £28,000 dependant on experience.
