R13 Recruitment are currently working alongside a National Charity who provide employment support for the long term unemployed. This dynamic role will be covering the Leicester area, so travel will be required.

As a Support Worker you will be responsible for ensuring that every participant journey in sustainable employment is as smooth and well-coordinated as possible. This role will suit an engaging, empathetic, and motivating individual with previous experience supporting vulnerable individuals in a recruitment environment.

Your duties will include:

  • Managing a caseload of participants, assessing their support and development needs and working with them to co-produce an action plan into sustainable employment and developed enhanced skillsets.
  • Providing advice & guidance to your caseload of participants.
  • Creating opportunities that match your participants needs.
  • Tailoring your approach and delivering a range of support to individuals with multiple and complex barriers to employment.
  • Undertake or participate in regular case conferences with partner organisations, support services, employers and/or other team members to ensure every participant’s journey is smooth and consistent.
  • Developing relationships with services within the community that will support participants in achieving their employability and wellbeing goals.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with employers in order to identify relevant vacancies for participants.
  • Traveling regularly to support participants, and effectively manage your diary to achieve this.
  • Maintaining and updating relevant records and reports, as well as any other relevant administrative tasks.

You will have/be:

  • Proven experience working with individuals with complex needs overcome barriers to education, training and employment.
  • English and Maths qualification.
  • Ability to empathise constructively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to motivate and inspire.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise own workload effectively.
  • Strong IT skills including experience with the Microsoft package.
  • Positive attitude to disability, health problems and employment problems.

**Please Note, you will be required to undertake and pass a CRB check**

The salary offered is £23,460 per annum. A comprehensive benefits package is offered including 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, pension scheme, death in service, enhanced maternity, funded team activity days, professional development opportunities and travel is expensed at 40p per mile + parking if necessary.
