Rthirteen are collaborating with a fantastic manufacturing organisation in their recruit for a Production Shift Supervisor. This role is pivotal in leadership and support to the shift team ensuring they achieve targets and production runs smoothly. You will also have a focus on team development, inductions and training.

You will be a strong leadership/management skills with previous experience within the manufacturing sector. You will be joining a passionate workforce who work hard to create an inspiring and supportive working environment and who really care about each and every member of their team. 

Duties will include:

• Supervising and providing integral support to a small team.
• Planning and allocating resources to production lines across core shift hours and organising overtime cover as and when required.
• Driving production standards by adherence to SOPs and ensuring the team achieve targets.
• Providing support to ensure recruitment, induction, training and development is effective and maintained.
• Dealing with and resolving people issues promptly and escalating where necessary.
• Ensuring a high level of Health & Safety and hygiene is maintained within the department at all times and any incidents are dealt with fully.
• Promptly and effectively resolving any NCR issues raised, ensuring a root cause analysis and corrective actions are undertaken.
• Maintaining and updating data including training records.

You will have/be:

• Strong people management and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Experience from within an FMCG production environment.
• Confidence in working interdepartmentally, across other manufacturing areas, to achieve success.
• Working knowledge of cGMP, Quality and Health and Safety.
• Proven success in achieving KPIs and setting goals.
• Computer literate with working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• A methodical thinker with an organised approach and strong problem-solving skills.
• The ability to delegate, prioritise and manage multiple initiatives while maintaining focus and composure.
• A strong desire to grow and develop within the business.

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, following a weekly rotating shift pattern of 5.45am to 2:45pm and 1.00pm to 10pm. The offered salary for this opportunity is £31,000 per annum. Benefits for this role include, enhanced pension scheme, sick pay scheme, flexitime, monthly employee events and much more!
