rthirteen have the pleasure of assisting a city centre based, luxury FMCG brand in their search for a Corporate Development Manager to join their team. You will be an integral addition to an already successful B2B Corporate sales team and your role will focus on attracting new clients to the organisation through engaging proposals and strong relationship building.

You will have a creative/entrepreneurial flair to be able to recognise and bring to fruition opportunities, including elements of identification, proposal build and presentation, through to delivery. The role will incorporate both home-working, and office based operations.

If you are a tenacious, enthusiastic, business development professional this would be a fantastic position for you, where you will be able to utilise your skills working with an exciting brand.

Your duties will include:

  • Researching and recognising potential new clients to target.
  • Establishing key business contacts.
  • Utilising a range of communication techniques to reach your prospect.
  • Identification of opportunities within your client through engaging conversations.
  • Producing and providing comprehensive proposal/presentations.
  • Negotiation of client proposals, sound understanding of profit margins.
  • Long term account management and relationship building, generation of repeat business.
  • Liaison predominantly over the telephone and email, with face to face meetings as required.
  • Working autonomously to meet and exceed individual revenue and gross profit targets.

You will have/be:

  • Demonstrate a successful background in business development.
  • Key examples of where you have used creativity and initiative to win business.
  • Highly personable and a strong communicator, using a consultative telephone manner.
  • Target orientated, experienced in owning the achievement of your personal objectives.
  • Display a tenacious and proactive approach. Able to manage your pipeline using Salesforce.
  • PC literate, competent in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Have the ability to adapt sales approach to relate to the needs of each customer.
  • An active listener, understanding need and providing appropriate solutions.
  • An able negotiator and objection handler.
  • A capable and hard worker, keen to undertake additional training on product knowledge.

This is a full time permanent role working 9:00 – 5:30 Monday to Friday, although this role may need flexibility. Offered salary of £27,000 - £30,000 DOE + commission.
