R13 have an exciting opportunity available for a Digital Skills Subject Lead to join a market leading organisation. This highly varied role will have you developing opportunities for adult learners, increasing participation on the digital skills programmes, developing bespoke packages and supporting people in Norfolk thrive in the digital world.

Sadly, in Norfolk there is a vast shortage of basic digital skills, and this role has been newly created to help drive the upskilling of adult learners across Norfolk. This role will suit a passionate person who wants to make a positive difference and raise digital skills in the area, along with grow and develop the organisation’s offering. The work you do will have a massive impact and give learners the digital skills they need to thrive, as well as enable Norfolk businesses to become more competitive digitally.

Your duties will include:

  • Providing digital skills expertise in order to support the development, planning and delivery of learning programmes for adult learners.
  • Coordinating the delivery of an effective admissions service for learners.
  • Coordinating teachers and assessors to deliver the digital skills subject successfully.
  • Acting as the Lead Internal Quality Assurer, verifying internal assessment decisions, including the monitoring and observation of assessor practice
  • Working to improve and enhanced the quality of teaching and delivery of the subject.  
  • Supporting teaching staff and carrying out internal quality assurance activities across the county.
  • Engaging with stakeholders, partners and employers and represent the service at events to increase awareness and recruit new learners.

You will have/be:

  • Essential: Qualified to either Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or DTLLS or Cert Ed or PGCE or Bed.
  • Relevant digital skills qualification and ability to demonstrate current, in-depth knowledge.
  • Ideally: Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (AVA) or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years’ successful experience of delivering teaching, learning and assessment in the further education sector.
  • Experience of designing and developing learning programmes.
  • Creative in your approach to developing learning materials and resources to engage learners.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted’s Common Inspection Framework and what constitutes good or better quality teaching.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

This is a full time, permanent role. Currently working from home due to Covid-19. The offered salary is £30,451 - £32,234 dependent on experience.
