rthirteen are currently assisting a thriving business based in Norwich with their search for a Business Development Manager to join their team. You will be an integral addition to an already successful and driven B2B sales team, and your role will focus on attracting new clients to the organisation through engaging proposals and strong relationship building.

If you are a tenacious, enthusiastic, B2B sales person this would be a fantastic position for you, where you will be able to utilise your sales skills working with an exciting brand.

Your duties will include:

  • Researching and recognising potential new clients to target.
  • Establishing the key business contacts.
  • Producing and providing comprehensive proposal/presentations.
  • Negotiation of client proposals, closing the deal in line with the business requirements.
  • Long term account management and relationship building.
  • Creating a strong database portfolio to sell to.
  • Liaison predominantly over the telephone and email, also face to face meetings when required.
  • Meeting and exceeding individual revenue and gross profit targets.

You will have/be:

  • Demonstrate a successful background in B2B sales/account management, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
  • Be highly personable and a strong communicator, using a consultative telephone manner.
  • Be target orientated, experienced in meeting and exceeding set objectives.
  • Display a tenacious and proactive approach.
  • Be PC literate, competent in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Be money motivated, keen to earn and driven to succeed.
  • Have the ability to adapt sales approach to relate to the needs of each customer.
  • Be an active listener, understanding need and providing appropriate solutions.
  • Be an able negotiator and objection handler.
  • Be a capable and hard worker, keen to undertake additional training on product knowledge.

This is a full time permanent role working 9:00 – 5:30 Monday to Friday, although this role may need flexibility. Offered salary of up to £30,000 + bonuses + a competitive benefits package.
