An exciting opportunity has arisen within a fantastic, well known insurance brokerage as a Commercial Account Handler. You will play an integral role within the business, providing technical, administrative and client service support to the team and their clients, leading to successful and profitable relationships both internally and externally.

This is a great chance for someone looking to grow and develop their career within the insurance industry. You will ideally have some commercial account handling experience and have achieved or are working towards your CII qualification.

For this role you will be working remotely with occasional travel to the Ipswich office once every couple of weeks.

Duties to include:

  • Assisting your clients with queries daily, confirm cover with the insurers, process policies and chase up outstanding documentation when required.
  • Working in partnership with your Account Executive, to deliver the needs of your clients
  • Liaising with clients and insurers directly to provide support and achieve results.
  • Working closely alongside other internal departments to ensure you meet the needs of your client.
  • Escalating all difficult and unusual enquiries to the Account Executive.
  • Working closely alongside other internal departments to ensure you meet the needs of your client.
  • Ensuring client details are recorded accurately and all spreadsheets remain up to date.
  • Payment processing.

You will have/be:

  • Previous commercial account handling experience within a broker environment.
  • Proven experience of the Open GI System.
  • Working knowledge of insurance policies, principles and practices.
  • CII Qualified (or working towards) would be desirable.
  • Awareness of FCA Compliance Procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive attitude, with the ability to use initiative
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and assimilate large quantities of information quickly, while maintaining attention to detail

This is a full time, permanent opportunity based in Norwich. The salary on offer is highly competitive, dependant on experience.
