Rthirteen are currently supporting a leading software solutions business in their search for a Business Development Manager to join their team working from home with 1-2 days in the office in London per week.

The purpose of this role is to work in collaboration with the wider business team in order to generate new business leads, as well as, creating opportunities for up-selling within the current client base. You will ensure KPIs within the Sales team are defined and will carry out relevant market research and competitor analysis.

This is a great chance for someone with experience in a similar sector (ie. Software, banking, technology) to join a leading business who work with a range of industry leading brands. You will be supported by a team with a wealth of experience who constantly seek the best solutions in order to stay ahead of the curve.

Duties to include:

  • Building and qualifying a list of target specific prospects.
  • Carrying out market research and researching potential prospects utilising trade press, social media and networking.
  • Determining strategic sales approaches.
  • Ensuring key operational processes and KPIs within the Sales team are defined
  • Passing leads across to the sales team with complete information and clear calls to action.
  • Maintaining and updating the company’s database.
  • Supporting the planning of targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Working to overcome potential objections of prospective customers.  

You will have/be:

  • Previous sales/business development experience in a similar sector (e.g. Software, Banking, Technology).
  • Track record of excellent performance over some years in sales/business development.
  • Obsession about growing brands and channels, providing high service levels to customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills plus excellent listening skills.
  • Self-motivated to exceed personal and team goals.
  • A team player attitude and strong desire to grow with the company.
  • The ability to adopt a flexible approach to working.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity working from home with 1/2 days per week in the London office with commuting costs paid for. The offered salary for this position is £40,000 - £50,000 dependant on experience plus an annual bonus of up to 10%.
