It has been a whirlwind 3 months since the wonderful Tasha Coe joined our R13 family and even though we haven’t all been able to work together, she has made a massive impact on the team with her humour, drive and passion for everything she does!
We sat down with this busy bee to ask her some questions that we’ve been keen to know the answers to… so without further ado, here is what she said…
I’ve been in recruitment for a while now (14 years!) and what keeps me loving it is the pace and the buzz. It is exciting seeing different companies evolve, I get to talk to so many new people and be in the know with what’s happening in the Norfolk business community.
I love being able to help people and in turn support businesses to find the right people. There is something magical when you get it right and see your candidate’s face light up when you give them that brand new job offer. That may sound totally cheesy but it’s true and let’s face it… I am a bit cheesy!
Honest, conscientious, hardworking, personable, approachable.
I believe that there is a job out there for everyone and what might not suit one person will suit someone else. This principle is the exact same for clients, there will be the perfect person for your business out there. It’s all about the opportunities.
Honestly, it’s being able to provide a really good service and being a specialist in my field. As a recruiter, I am lucky that I get to build relationships with individuals from so many different backgrounds and industries. I get to help connect business and candidates, so they can find their perfect match!
I started off doing some recruitment at Aviva back in the day, then moved to a large national recruiter for my first proper recruitment role. After being in recruitment for a year, the penny dropped that I could do this, and I was good at it!! Also, it was something that I really enjoyed.
A career highlight would be maintaining the number 1 spot within a large national recruiter for many years through consistently achieving and providing great care to my candidates & clients.
I’m so pleased that during my career I have gotten far in developing new clients and building relationships with some fantastic businesses in Norwich. It is rewarding to be an integral part of the recruitment process for the companies I work with and be able to watch them grow
Getting away from my crazy kids! Parents you will know what I mean.
But in all seriousness, it would have to be mornings because I am a morning person. It’s just nice to get in, grab a coffee and be able to catch up with everyone.
I’ll be honest, I’m not really an evening person. It’s get in, sort dinner, cuddle the kids, read them books and then bedtime for me.
At the weekend it’s all about kids’ activities and getting out and about, although not so much in lockdown. We love to go out swimming, go on bike rides and have plenty of BBQs in the summer.
Beautician. I loved doing my dolls hair and makeup. Now I get excited by the beauty of a good CV!
Lockdown demonstrated that we as a community can pull together during tough times and find different ways to help those in need. I personally have learnt that I can offer support to candidates in a different way by simply being there for a chat or catch up over a virtual coffee, ensuring I do everything I can to reassure and provide advice/guidance. It is all about caring for one another and that is something I will carry forward in all aspects of my life.
In one word, BUSY! But in the best way, as it has given me a fresh new challenge and taken me out of my comfort zone. It has also opened my eyes up to other business within the local area and it’s amazing to see how many fantastic, thriving businesses there are in Norwich.
I’ve found that working for an independent recruiter can offer a lot more flexibility to the client and myself, which I am really relishing.
The whole team has welcomed me with open arms which I am so thankful for and I already feel like a part of the team.
We hope you enjoyed getting the inside scoop on Tasha, she has had some amazing successes since joining us and we are so pleased to have her as part of the team.
